Background to the NatWest Modern Workforce campaign:

NatWest was focusing on helping to make people’s banking and financial lives easier, with a focus on freelancers and flexible workers – a significant and growing section of the working population. This group faces several different issues when it comes to their finances such as: irregular income patterns and hours and riskier job security compared to traditional workers, which can lead to lower levels of financial resilience.

NatWest is looking to get under the skin of these different issues so that it can look to develop longer-term solutions to help this group.

BREIF:

I was filming and photographing influencer Emma Gannon, a writer, broadcaster and podcaster who is best known for her Webby nominated podcast ‘Ctrl Alt Delete’ and Sunday Times Bestselling business book The Multi-Hyphen Method. She is one of Forbes 30 Under 30 2018 in media and marketing. The Evening Standard recently called her ‘the spokesperson for the internet generation.

I filmed a series of videos based on Emmas tips for people looking to become a freelancer. The videos will be used on NatWest’s social channels, primarily Instagram. The films are of Emma answering 3 questions about how she handles her finances as a freelancer / self- employed worker.
